“American” style financing is available here in Costa Rica by a number of local and international banks. Banco Cuscatlan and Scotia Bank are the two banks that currently have the most reasonable terms, however securing your financing in the States via cash or an equity loan is still the least expensive way to finance your Costa Rican investment.

If a property is owned out-right, there are local banks who will loan up to 70% of the appraised value of the property for construction, etc.
